1996 Johnson Class MC Scow
The 16-foot Johnson MC is the ideal singlehanded racing Scow. All of the control lines are easily accessible to the skipper and provide enough sophistication for the most experienced sailor. Hardware placement leaves lots of room for crew in a breeze. A midship traveler and high aspect rig allows for maximum control in heavy air. The through-deck fittings are located inboard of the sideboard boxes. This provides an incredibly clean deck allowing the crew to move fore and aft with ease. In the event of a capsize, buoyancy is maintained by increased hull foam flotation. When you combine this with the traveler position (further forward), the board system, and the cascading yang, you have the ultimate MC. The quality, durability, appearance, and performance of the Johnson MC Scow has been unequaled.
